Along with providing warbird pilot training and exciting flight experiences, our organization is dedicated to preserving the history of World War II, specifically that of Herschel 'Herky' Green and his 325th fighter wing. Formation Flying Fun - 4/27/2012 - 4/29/2012

Kokomo Airport will be abuzz the weekend of April 27th as the Warbird Training Center proudly hosts not just one, but two formation flying events!

First up, the Warbird Training Center will also be hosting a T-6 Formation Mini-Clinic. A number of AT-6 trainer aircraft will be flying at and around the Kokomo Airport. Like the B2OSH folks, they will be gathering to train in and practice formation flying techniques. Among others, the WTC's own Checkertail T-6 will be flying in the clinic.

At the same time, the WTC will also host the annual Bonanzas to Oshkosh (B2OSH) clinic. Every year, a large group of Bonanzas arrive in formation at EAA's Airventure in Oshkosh, WI. Last year, 110 Bonanzas arrived at the show together! In order to train and prepare pilots for the huge formation flight and arrival, B2OSH holds a series of regional clinics all over the US. The Warbird Training Center has been the proud host of our region's clinic for a number of years, helping Bonanza pilots from all over the Midwest prepare for the B2OSH event.
